● Commenced my career as a Geophysicist in the oil exploration industry, spending several years working in Africa, the Middle East, Europe and the United States, prior to moving to the Financial Services industry in Australia in late 1987. ● Prior to emigrating to Australia permanently (I spent 2 years in Australia on a temporary working visa prior to this), assisted in the listing of a company on the second board of the London Stock Exchange. This followed the “Big Bang” event that occurred in financial markets in the mid 1980’s. ● Witnessed enormous changes in the financial services arena since 1987; my experience including not only the provision of holistic, personal financial planning advice, but business development and practice management. ● Instrumental in developing systems & processes with several financial planning firms. ● Worked with Bridges Financial Services in Adelaide up until late 2020, where I continued to use my previous experience in financial planning software training & development. I was also involved in the development of the overall strategic marketing plan for the Bridges business here. ● Established Ellastone Financial Planning in March 2021. Offering a bespoke financial planning service that caters for lifestyle issues through a professional business network, as well as financial goals & objectives.
