Product Manager
I graduated from Universidad Politécnica de Valencia in September 2008, where I completed a B.Eng. in Computer Science. After that, in September 2008 I started working as a Program Manager in Dublin at Microsoft’s Mobile Advertising Platform. Two rainy years later, I moved to Seattle in April 2010 to join the Microsoft AdCenter Mobile Business Intelligence Team as a Program Manager too. Missing the Spanish sunshine, I joined Softonic, in Barcelona, as a Product Manager in May 2011, leading the in-house-built advertising platform for self-served advertisers. In July 2014 I completed a Master’s in Digital and Direct Marketing at the Barcelona School of Management (Universitat Pompeu Fabra). In January 2015 I moved to Madrid to join Packlink and start a new adventure as a Senior Product Manager for PacklinkPro. Packlink wasn’t quite what I was expecting, so when in April 2015 I was offered the opportunity of joining EsLife in Valencia as Head of Product, I didn’t think twice. After almost 7 years, I was back home. If I was happy, imagine my grandma :) Unfortunately, the Sharing Economy space in Spain was not a safe place yet, so the company had to cease operations in October 2015. I then moved to Leeds to help Pocketworks start using Scrum and Lean methodologies. In the summer of 2016, after leaving Pocketworks on track with their Agile practices, I joined Schibsted as a Product Manager for Milanuncios. Over two years later, I felt like I needed a break and I went to explore Southeast Asia for a couple of months. After an amazing experience, I came back to the Product Management world, joining Mercadona to work on the new online platform. In July 2020 I joined eyeo to be the Product Manager for the Mobile products. I was happy to be back in the advertising industry, although a little bit on the other side of the table where I used to sit (filtering ads instead of delivering them). In September 2021, I decided to follow an interest of mine that was dormant for some years, the Marketing Tech space, and I joined Customer.io to help them build the most sophisticated communication tools between businesses and their customers. After 16 years in the Tech industry, mainly in advertising and marketing tech, in pursuit of a more meaningful career, I did a significant career pivot to start teaching Computer subjects in secondary school.
